This morning at yoga, our instructor invited us to think of an intention we had for the week.
Listen to the whispers of my heart, was mine. That translates as living intentionally, taking a step back, remembering to breathe and to get out of my head so I can hear what my heart has to say more clearly.
An intention is almost taken more seriously if it comes to us gently, like a whisper.
If shouted to us, pushed upon us we may want to turn the other cheek.
But that consistent, regular whisper is wise enough to speak so quietly, we barely hear it the first time. So we hush everything else around us so when the whisper comes again, we are aware and ready to listen. Open to act out from our heart.
