I had to watch one of my favorite recent movies again tonight. Okay, I had to watch Colin Firth again.
In The King’s Speech, before he is crowned King George VI, Colin’s (we are on a first name basis) character shares about the fear he has of his father and brother. Geoffrey Rush’s character challenges his patient by saying, You don’t have to do what you did when you were five.
We don’t have to keep living in fear wearing our old wounds, walking in the past, repeating the same story. Tomorrow is a new day. We can create new stories, walk new ground and find new ways to start living.
