To borrow a popular line from the film Forrest Gump, “My mama always said life was like a box of chocolates, you never know which one your gonna get.” This line comes to me on this gorgeous fall day not because I’m eating chocolate, sitting on a park bench or even thinking of Tom Hanks and not because I am reflecting on my life. (Such a lie, I’m always reflecting.) The line comes to me because life is bursting at the seems with gifts of goodness. The trees flirt with their new dress of gold and orange, friends support with their with calls and texts, birds sing without restraint teasing you to dance, family makes you laugh so hard you pee your pants before breakfast, your dog wants to go for a walk so badly because its been two days since your last time outside to simply just be.
Life is indeed like a box of chocolates. Delicious, tempting, mouth watering, full of possibility. At the end of the day I know that tomorrow there will be more surprises waiting to be devoured.
Hi, I’m Jenny Gwinn McGlothern, Certified Transformational Master Life Coach, Retreat Leader and Writer. As founder of my retreat business, Mama Needs A Refill, LLC, one way I know I fill my cup is by showing up to a blank page to write. Thank you for stopping by and reading my Random Monday Thoughts, because I will be honest that fills my cup too, knowing others are reading my filled page. Life is too short to blog about anything else unless it touches my heart. Please know I appreciate you joining me on this journey whether you visit every week since I began in 2008 or this is your first blog stop.
