Monday’s Random Thought: Which Wolf ?

Walking out of the recently released Disney film, Tomorrowland, with my daughter last night she stated, “There are a lot of deep moral messages in that movie.” We live a couple of blocks from the movie theatre so on our walk home we spoke about those valuable lessons not just about how good George Clooney looks as the male protagonist.

In the film, teenage protagonist Casey, played by actress Britt Robinson, recalls a story her father, portrayed by Tim McGraw, tells throughout her childhood. In the story there are two wolves. One wolf is darkness, the other light and hope. The dad asks, “Which do you choose?” The daughter who knows the story well gives the answer,  “The one that you feed.”

Throughout the movie the characters are given the choice of which wolf so to speak, to feed. In other words, where are you putting your energy? What is getting your attention? That which you have faith in, will show up and manifest in numerous ways.

Something to think about today on a quiet Memorial Day Monday. Which wolf will you feed?

P.S. I chose to ignore the ‘box office disappointment’ movie reviews. The negative wolf doesn’t resonate for me for this film. I walked out of the theater inspired, entertained, hopeful and smiling.
